Ackie Monitor (Varanus acanthurus)

The Ackie Monitor (Varanus acanthurus) is one of the best choices for those who want a smart, active and easy to tame lizard. Native to Australia, this small varan seduces with its natural curiosity, interactive behaviour and perfect size for captivity - it usually does not exceed 60 cm, tail included.

It is a robust reptile, fascinating to observe and much more sociable than most large monitor lizards.
