The pieces of wood come in different sizes and shapes. On average, they are 12“ x 12”.
In aquariums, it reduces the pH and hardness of the water. It needs to be soaked for 2-3 weeks before it will start to sink. You can also weigh it down to the bottom with something heavy, such as rocks or slate.
