Temperature: Hot zone: 33-40 degrees. Cold zone: 25-28 degrees.

Night: 18 degrees and above.

UVB light requirement: Yes.

Humidity: Very low. 30% humidity.

Diet: Insects of all kinds. Juveniles must be fed salad and insects every day. Adults also salad every day, but insect meals 1-2 times a week.

Character and habits: Generally very calm and considered one of the most manageable lizards. Diurnal.

Average adult size: Approx. 30-40 cm.

Lifespan: Approximately 12-15 years.

Substrate: Carpet, sand (take care to choose digestible sand). Ceramic is ideal, as it retains heat and wears out claws.

Habitat type: Desert. Will climb a little if you offer it something to do so. Offer rocks, branches and cork bark to help regulate its temperature.

Terrarium: Terrarium with a large floor area. Some overhead space is appreciated, but not essential. Minimum dimensions 36'' X 16'' X 14''.
